How to Use Superfoods to Improve Your Health

December 16th, 2009 by admin

In the year 1948, the World Health Organization (WHO) defined health as not only the absence of disease or infirmity. But a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being. In the year 1986, The World Health Organization stated that health is resource for everyday life and not the objective of living. Health is a positive concept that emphasizes social and personal resources as well as physical capacities.

Now by reading that explanation about health, ask yourself this question. Do you meet the standards of health given by the World Health Organization? If it is a yes, then good for you. If it is a no then looks like it is time for you to start improving your health.

One way to do this is to by eating a balanced diet comprised of good nutritious products and raw organic superfoods. You can start eating healthy by limiting your calorie intake that is relative to what you need for a single day. By consuming too much calories, your body will convert this to fat and the higher the body fat, the bigger the craving for food. You will also need to have a healthy lifestyle by doing a lot of exercise. By having exercise, you will burn those calories and any type of food that will make you fat.

Other tips to be healthy would be is to lessen your intake of soft drinks and other sugary drinks. Avoid saturated fats that are mostly found in hydrogenated oils and fats that are found in meat. Avoid deep-fried fruits, avoid alcohol that has a lot of calories and stop smoking if you are already smoking.

Also eat three regular meals a day and drink plenty of water. Take vitamins and supplements that can substitute the real vitamins that can be taken from fruits and vegetables. One perfect source of vitamins are raw organic superfoods. Raw organic superfoods are food that has high phytonutrient content that offers a lot of health benefits. These raw organic superfoods also has got a lot of antioxidants, anthocyanins, vitamin C, manganese and dietary fiber.

An example of a raw organic superfood is Sacred Chocolate. Sacred Chocolate is the Bronze medal winner of the 2007 International San Francisco Chocolate Salon for best organic chocolate. It has also won the Best organic or Fair Trade Chocolate at the 2008 International San Francisco Chocolate Salon. Sacred Chocolate is certified organic by CCOF and certified vegan by VEGAN ACTION. Sacred Chocolate is the first ever raw organic whole bean that has cacao contents of 70%, 80%, 90 %, 99% and 100% cacao.

I am finished with my short article, hope you have learned something. Have a nice day everyone! Good luck!
